Amanda graduated from the Southern Illinois University School of Law, where she was a member of the Moot Court Board and a graduate assistant in the Paralegal Department. Prior to that, she worked as a paralegal for Barrett, Twomey, Broom, Hughes, & Hoke LLP in Carbondale, conducting legal research and preparing legal memorandums of law. She also worked as a law clerk at Hughes Law Firm in Carbondale, and she interned at the Johnson County and Williamson County state’s attorney’s offices. At BTBHH, she was a paralegal for attorneys who handled real estate, estate planning, civil cases, family cases, and bankruptcy.
While she was a law student, Amanda worked for the Civil Practice Clinic helping low-income citizens and the elderly with estate planning matters pro bono under the supervision of an attorney. Amanda received a Bachelor of Science degree from Southern Illinois University Carbondale with a major in Paralegal Studies and a minor in Administration of Justice. She lives in Peoria.
