What You Can Expect From Your Initial Consultation

What You Can Expect From Your Initial Consultation

It is understandable that meeting with an attorney for the first time may cause nervousness or be upsetting. Our commitment is to talk with you and help ease concerns during your initial consultation. We are invested in learning about your situation and answering your questions so that we can offer you specific advice during the initial consultation.

We do not schedule your initial consultation to be with a paralegal. We believe an initial consultation with an experienced attorney is one of the most important meetings during a case: it establishes a bond and is an opportunity for the client to receive answers and advice, so that the client may leave the initial consultation feeling a sense of relief in having a partner in the process ahead.

All legal advice you receive during an initial consultation is protected by the confidential attorney-client privilege. Sometimes, we can solve an issue or answer questions to the client’s satisfaction during this initial meeting. In other instances, the client decides to retain our legal services to proceed with a case.

An initial consultation with us typically lasts between 30 and 60 minutes. We can meet you in person, on the phone, or in a virtual setting. It is our greatest privilege to offer help and strength to our clients, and this dedication starts with the initial consultation.
